January 2013 Pre-Newsletter Update

Happy New Year from Sew Together of Richmond! The flu has hampered our publishing the January Newsletter for a week, but we wanted you to hear about a couple of things early.

We are starting a Beginning Quilting by Hand or Machine class on Monday Jan. 7 from 7-9 pm. It is a six week course that teaches you how to choose fabrics, cut and piece blocks, and 3 methods of appliqué. You also learn how to assemble tops and have a chance to explore hand and machine quilting along with binding techniques. This is a wonderful introduction to quilting and fun too. You don't need to bring anything with you the first night of class and you never need to carry a heavy sewing machine with you! The class is only $60 for the six-week session and if you bring a friend, her class is half-off! Space is limited to 6 students so you must register early by calling 586-727-1555. (We also accept students as young as 8 if accompanied by an adult! )

We hope you will check back next week as our complete newsletter is published!

Yours in Stitches,
Sue Weinert, Sew Together
