Are You Ready for Summer Vacation?
Dear Sisters in Thread,
Welcome to June, the time of graduations, weddings and parties! In quilt-speak it is also the time of “what can I make?! Quickly!” It is a time of family and adventures. It is a time to fight off mosquitos and drink lemonade. We have some quick projects in mind that will be fun and useful for your summer. Deanna is here with her Creative Stitches class on Thursday June 7 from 1-3 pm. It will be her last class of the summer since she is taking some time off to charge her creative batteries, so we hope you can be here. Mary has a class to make a sweet wool bunny mat that would be a perfect “take along” to stitch while you are traveling. Sue has two Free Demo Thursday projects to plan, too. And of course, there is always Fun Friday where you can have a pot-luck meal and work on your projects to your hearts’ content! We hope you will come see us and share your summer projects with us.
Also in June we want to encourage you to go see the annual Miracle Quilts Show and Display on Saturday June 9 from 11 am to 3 pm at Independence Village, 701 Market Street, Oxford, MI 48371. You will be blown away by all the quilts that will be given to our wounded troops, by all the love and respect that goes into them. Admission is free and there is also a craft sale, quilter’s garage sale and raffle. Please go if you can, it will fill your heart with joy!

Class Policy: We ask that you call ahead to reserve your space in a class.Classes without the minimum number of students will be cancelled and your fee refunded. We offer all paid students a 15% discount on regular priced merchandise. Your registration fee is fully refundable if you cancel 1 week prior to class and store credit will be given under special circumstances but must be personally Okayed by Gina or Sue if you can’t attend due to an unforeseen emergency.
