Wonderful Summer Quilting
Dear Sisters in Thread, It is August already! How is that even possible? It is time to start thinking about back-to-school items and another last-chance weekend at the lake! We hope your summer is proving to be a wonderful one and that you did everything you wanted to do! We have Halloween and Christmas fabric that should be here as we speak! We are planning new quilts and finishing old ones. We are looking for new techniques and tools to share with you. We are joyful in the work of our hands and yours. A little bird told us that you love little birds! Especially little wool birds on bags! Mary has a class this August called “Bird Out of the Bag” which features just that on a sturdy jute bag on Tuesday August 29 from 1-4 pm. Be sure to check out the sample in the shop. Speaking of samples, we have been cleaning in our back store room and found lots of items we had as samples of previous classes. Some are completely done; some require a little work to finish. All are spectacular and on sale in our shop. We also want you to notice that Deanna’s Creative Stitching classes are on hiatus until September! Doesn’t everyone need a vacation?! We are also looking for a winner in our shop for Row by Row as of this writing! Come on! Someone bring me an 8-row finished quilt and win the prize here, please!

Aug. 10 2 pm Free Demo, project to be announced Fri. Aug. 11 5-9 pm Fun Friday, bring dish to pass & work on your own projects Sat. Aug. 12 1 pm Scrap Club Tues. Aug. 15 6:30-8:30 Knit Club, work on your own project with help avail. ($5) Wed. Aug. 16 11 am Jo’s Little Women Club Thurs. Aug. 17 11am-1pm Wool stitchery club Sat. Aug. 19 9am-noon My Kinda Town paper piecing class, $10 Wed. Aug. 23 11 am Kim Diehl’s Simple What Knots club Thurs. Aug. 24 2 pm Free Demo, project to be announced Fri. Aug. 25 5-9 pm Fun Friday, bring dish to pass & work on own projects $5 Tues. Aug. 29 1-4 pm Bird out of the Bag, wool applique class, $10 plus supplies
Class Policy: We ask that you call ahead to reserve your space in a class.Classes without the minimum number of students will be cancelled and your fee refunded. We offer all paid students a 15% discount on regular priced merchandise. Your registration fee is fully refundable if you cancel 1 week prior to class and store credit will be given under special circumstances but must be personally Okayed by Gina or Sue if you can’t attend due to an unforeseen emergency.
