June 2017 Newsletter:

A Summer to be on the Go!

Dear Sisters in Thread,

Welcome to June, the time of graduations, weddings and parties! In quilt-speak it is also the time of “what can I make?! Quickly!” and Row by Row Shop Hop! This years’ theme is “On the Go!” and with our darling hot air balloon row (see our Facebook page for a picture!) you will be soaring above the clouds on your way to a really great quilt! Remember, Row by Row patterns are free for the asking and kits are available for a reasonable price too! We will be having license plates too! It begins June 21 and runs all summer long!

Also in June we want to encourage you to go see the annual Miracle Quilts Show and Display on Saturday June 10 from 11 am to 3 pm at Independence Village, 701 Market Street, Oxford, MI 48371. You will be blown away by all the quilts that will be given to our wounded troops, by all the love and respect that goes into them. Admission is free and there is also a craft sale, quilter’s garage sale and raffle. Please go if you can, it will fill your heart with joy!

So please take a look at our schedule. We have a great class for the X Quilt, perfect for Father’s Day or a graduation gift. We have a new Wool Club forming (call Gina for details!) and a new Block of the Month “Round Robin” beginning this month. There will also be a class to make the Mondo (or its little sister, the Midi) Bag! Deanna is back with her Creative Stitching Classes and our clubs and groups are still meeting. We are also adding all our knitting books to our ½ Off Sale along with our beautiful yarn!
