April 2017 Newsletter:

Spring Fling!! Join Us!

Dear Sisters in Thread,

April is the month of hope and happiness. It comes just when we can’t stand another moment of winter. We may get showers, but the awakening of the tulips and hyacinths make that ok. And besides, rainy days are the best days to sew!

We start the month off tomorrow, April 1, with a Spring Fling from 2-4 pm. We will be showing you some of our most popular Thursday Free Demos on Saturday, plus we will have treats and sales too. We hope you can come join us!

April is also the month of quilt shows. The Quilt Guild of Metro Detroit presents the 2017 Quilts from the Heart show at the Roseville Recreation Center (18185 Sycamore St., Roseville) on Friday April 21 from 10-6 and Saturday April 22 from 10-5. Admission is $6 for both days.

Some of you may have admired Gina’s rendition of the paper pieced quilt “My Kinda Town” that she has on display in our shop. She is having a My Kinda Town Block of the month class on Saturday, April 29 for those of you interested in starting this wonderful quilt.

Deanna is back for one more Thursday version of her Creative Stitches class on April 6 and then she switches back to Fridays on April 28. Our free demos continue on Thursdays at 2 pm, and I have to say we are thrilled with your response to them. When we started our Thursday Demos we never realized we would still be going strong after more than a year! That’s a lot of demos, ladies!

Of course, our clubs and groups continue to meet to do scrap quilts, knitting and miniatures from Kim Diehl and Jo Morton! Here is our schedule so you can plan ahead:
