Freedom to Quilt to Your Heart’s Content!

Dear Sisters in Thread,

We are excited about more than just fireworks this July! We have two new Blocks of the Month clubs in the works and continue to hand out our free pattern for Row by Row (not to mention the wonderful kit which contains so much!) Our city is having a town-wide sidewalk sale on July 22 & 23 so we decided to celebrate the whole week (July 19-23) with something we have never done before: a Buy the Bolt Sale! If you buy what is left on any bolt in the store, we will give you 20% off the price. So it doesn’t matter if it is 1 yard or 12 yards, you will get the sale price on the whole thing!

July is also the month to start your Halloween and Christmas Quilts! We have new fabrics for both holidays, so come in and get yours while the choice is spectacular. We also just took delivery of the new Kim Diehl fabric line “Welcome Wagon!” Come in and check it all out.

Our new blocks of the month include a 95% pieced (there is just a tiny bit of applique!) “Round Robin” by Bits’n Pieces features 42 different pieced blocks in a spectacular setting. “The Raven” by Blackbird Designs, inspired by Edgar Allen Poe, features folk art birds and pumpkins in tones of black, orange and purple. It is Halloween without screaming “boo” too loudly!

This July 11 our Handi Quilter instructor Jeannette is offering an Art & Stitch Workshop from 9-3 for $30. The first hour of the class will deal with the Pro-Stitcher Simulator and then the remainder of the day will focus on the basics of Art & Stitch and tips on using the Pro-Stitcher Simulation program. You are encouraged to bring your own bag lunch, laptop or Pro-Stitch tablet with Art & Stitch activated.

Our Row by Row “Town Clock” continues to fly out the door and our Summer Pinwheel Challenge is progressing. We have lots of new fabrics added to our half-off department that are great for backings. Please check out any of our popular club meetings, including Mystery Witches, Jo Morton, Kim Diehl, Scrap Club, Curvy Club and Knit Club. And don’t forget Free Demo every Thursday at 2 pm!

Class Policy: We ask that you call ahead to reserve your space in a class.Classes without the minimum number of students will be cancelled and your fee refunded. We offer all paid students a 15% discount on regular priced merchandise. Your registration fee is fully refundable if you cancel 1 week prior to class and store credit will be given under special circumstances but must be personally Okayed by Gina or Sue if you can’t attend due to an unforeseen emergency.
