Step into Fall at Sew Together

September 2014

Dear Sisters in Thread,

First off, thanks to all of you who made Row by Row such a success in our shop! Although the free pattern give-away ended Sept. 1, you still have until Oct. 31 to bring us a finished quilt! (See the for details). We want to award our prize, so we sure hope someone comes in soon to show us their finished quilt! After Oct. 31, we will have our Fishing Hole Kit with pattern available for purchase in the shop and by mail.

We also hope you will check out our Good Old Days Bag Challenge. We challenged you to decorate a jute shopping bag from our store any way you wanted and bring it to us to display in our windows during the town’s Good Old Days Sept. 4-7! Our customers will vote on their favorite and the winner will receive a $35 gift certificate from us (it pays for your bag and the start of your next project!). No rules on the decorating and we will accept your bag for display on Sept 2-3! A fun little thing to start the fall off and we hope you will participate!

We will have Fall and Halloween ideas all month and into October. Be sure to stop in and see all fun projects to do as the leaves begin to fall. If the Farmers’ Almanac is correct, we are all going to need some great quilting projects to snuggle into this coming winter!

Our Classes and Clubs continue to attract attention. Curvy Club begins this month and there is still one opening left in the once-a-month free class on Thursday night beginning Sept. 25.  Your classes (all 13 of them!) are free if you purchase your ruler, pattern and fabric from us. Beginning Quilting classes will begin on Oct. 6 (Monday nights, 7 pm) for six weeks.

HandiQuilter club is moving their date to Thursday Sept. 18 from 10-noon. This is a great way to network with other HQ owners and learn new techniques!
