Celebrating Creativity at Sew Together

July 2014

Dear Sisters in Thread,

When the fireworks are done and sparklers have sparkled, come check out all the exciting things happening here at Sew Together. We are excited to have new Halloween and Christmas fabrics on our shelves! Yes Ladies, it is time to think about THAT!

But back to July! Our row “Fishing Hole” is available beginning the first! As a participant of the Michigan Row by Row Experience, our pattern is FREE for the asking! And kits are just $12! It’s so much fun and are looking forward to awarding our 25 fat quarter prize to the first person who brings us a finished (at least 8 row) quilt! Come in for the pattern and rules!

And check out Facebook for pictures of all the rows! www.rowbyrowexperiece.com

Just a quick note to remind you we will be closed for the 4th of July and the 5th! We will also be discounting most of our yellow-tagged yarn 40% off July 15-19 and we will have a 35% reduction on a selection of kits July 22 through July 31. Be sure to come in early to the best selections! Start your winter projects now!

We are excited to have some new classes on our roster this month including the Simplicity Quilt on July 15. We also have a new Stacked Pinwheel Quilt July 16 and a Spinning Stars Table

Runner July 17! Trish is back with a wonderful new Doll Class on July 26 and Gina is teaching Wool appliqué on July 24. And don’t forget all our clubs: Jo Morton, Knitting, and Crazy Quilting! We are also beginning a new Block of the Month: Bench Pillow of the Month, with a new pillow top design each month! And our Star Block Challenge continues all month! We have a new free star block pattern available each week, so be sure to check it out.

Looking to the future, we are making plans for a Summer Log Cabin Jamboree Saturday Aug. 2 from 9 am to 7 pm. It includes FABRIC and meals for the day for only $65! Space is limited to 6, so you must makes plans early to join us.

Also coming soon will be the Curvy Club. We will be making a curved block sampler with the Quick Curve Ruler. You must purchase the ruler and pattern and fabric to begin, but the monthly classes will be free when you join and you will go home with a finished block each month for 12 months! This includes instructions on two different settings and borders, too! It is easy and fun and you will gain skills in curved piecing. This starts in September, with day and evening classes available.

Also coming soon is our Kim Diehl’s Simple Whatnots Club-the fabric should be here soon! Stay tuned! And just a hint: we will be having a sample sale soon, too!
