Good Old Days are Here Again

Dear Sisters in Thread,

September brings a shift in our focus from vacations to book bags and the cold weather that is surely just around the corner here in Michigan! But that isn’t really a bad thing for quilters! We get to plan all those quilts to keep our loved ones warm and what to make for all those lovely Christmas presents that people will oooh and ahhh over! We put on our sweaters and celebrate the harvest of wonderful new opportunities to create. And we are here to help you.

Gina is in the process of starting a Jo Morton – Jo’s Little Women Club.  The fabrics will be in soon, so stay tuned and more information will be coming your way soon! And our Halloween and Christmas fabrics are arriving as we write, so don’t miss out on the best selection for your needs.

We are in the midst of planning our annual Holiday Hop with some great changes in procedures this year.  Our theme is Winter Wonderland and it will happen over an ENTIRE WEEK – Monday November 11-Saturday November 16 (10-5 all days). No more rushing from shop to shop in a day unless you want to! We will still collect canned goods for our local food banks and give you fabric in return; we will still have wonderful prizes and great patterns (3 from each of our six shops) and lovely fabric kits (blues and whites, keeping with the Winter theme!) Passports come with a lovely snowflake pin and still remain at $10. We will be selling passports online as well as in the shop, so we hope you will participate.  For more information check out the www.michiganstashdash.com website.

We have had fun this summer with our Nine-Patch Challenge and we will be having a Nine-Patch Gathering soon, so stay tuned.  We also were bowled over by the response to our Civil War Block of the Week! If you missed out, we are putting together fat 1/8th kits and they should be ready by the beginning of September.

We are having a huge sale on the Avante by Handi Quilter. What a great long arm machine and don’t forget we have tech support too! Call for details and make an appointment for a demonstration and test drive.

So our class schedule includes our popular six week course in Beginning Quilting , Crazy Quilting, Penny Rugs and a couple of free classes in pillowcases and Midi or Mondo bags. Our Knit Club, UFO Club, Christmas Club, Dear Jane Club and Fun Fridays continue too! Don’t miss a bit of the fun this fall!
